About The Book

Whether you are a K-12 student, college undergraduate, university learner, or a student of English, this reference book of English verbs with English essentials is for you.

This book will assist you in finding the correct verb tenses in the present, past, future, present perfect, past perfect, future perfect, present progressive, past progressive, and the conditional. In addition, it will give you an index of English verbs with their Spanish equivalents.

This book will also give you English terminology definitions, the parts of speech, the rules for grammar and punctuation, modals, a list of adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, and practice worksheets to conjugate regular and irregular verbs.

As a product of parents who never earned a high school diploma, I was not exposed to Standard English in the home. In my K-12 years, writing reports, essays, and research papers weren’t required. It wasn’t until I studied English in college and Spanish as my foreign language in high school and college that I understood how limited I was in English. This material should be used in K-12, colleges, businesses, libraries and in the home.

Currently, I teach English as a second language and Standard English in College of the
Desert’s Adult Basic Education. I searched to find an English book with all the essentials
in one volume without success. As a result, I wrote my own.
It is my hope that students will use this book as a straightforward guide to learning
English basics. I hope that you enjoy it! Thank you! Straight ahead!
